SweatStop® Antiperspirants Against Sweaty Feet and Heavy Foot Sweating
For moist feet or odor (light sweating), we recommend SweatStop® Powder Stick Cinnamon Menthol; for wet feet (moderate to heavy sweating), SweatStop® Forte max Foot Spray.
For maximum security, a combined application is recommended; while SweatStop® Forte max Foot Spray is applied in the evening to reduce sweating throughout the day, SweatStop® Powder Stick Cinnamon Menthol is applied in the morning or as needed, providing added security with its water-binding properties.
For Wet Feet (Moderate to Heavy Sweating)
SweatStop® Forte max Foot Spray reduces sweating and heavy foot sweating for 24 hours. Since the skin on the feet is thicker than, for example, on the armpits, liquids and therefore SweatStop® antiperspirants cannot absorb in the same way. Therefore, the sweat-reducing effect may be delayed. Apply immediately before bedtime. Spray and massage in well; this process can be repeated up to 5 times.
For Moist Feet (Light Sweating)
SweatStop® Powder Stick Cinnamon Menthol and SweatStop® Powder Cinnamon Menthol in a Tube are talc-based products that bind moisture and sweat on the skin, providing a comfortable, dry foot climate. The innovative applicator on the stick and its skin-toned properties ensure mess-free, discreet application. Apply in the morning or as needed. Sweating on the feet can be combated situationally with SweatStop® Powder Stick Cinnamon Menthol.
Causes of Sweaty Feet
The causes of sweaty feet can vary. Usually, the reasons for heavy foot sweating lie in a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. The sweat glands themselves are also often enlarged. Foot sweat, unlike regular sweat, doesn't function to cool the body but to provide grip. If excessive stimuli reach the nervous system, the body reacts with foot sweat. A detoxification process of the body can also be a cause of foot sweat, which can be further promoted by nicotine, tobacco, and medications. Likewise, poor hygiene inevitably leads to foot sweat.
Symptoms of Heavy Foot Sweating
Foot sweat manifests as heavily sweaty feet and thus high sweat secretion. The feet are wet and start to smell unpleasant. Calluses on the feet can also start to swell due to constant moisture. They decompose and cause the unpleasant sweat odor. Bacteria have an easy time and can multiply unhindered by heavy sweating on the feet. Inflammation can occur or, in the worst case, even blood poisoning.
Consequences of Sweaty Feet
Sweaty feet are an unpleasant matter for both the person affected and those around them. The person affected often feels ashamed of the musty odor that others also notice. Additionally, the feeling of wet feet is very uncomfortable. The odor transfers to the shoes and becomes ingrained there. With heavy sweat secretion, socks must be changed several times a day. With heavy sweating on the feet, shoes sometimes have to be disposed of after a short period of wearing, as the odor can become extremely pungent. Those affected often feel ashamed of sweating on the feet. This can lead to social withdrawal. Additionally, the risk of developing athlete's foot increases due to sweating on the feet, as fungi can multiply particularly well in the moist environment. Other skin diseases can also arise from sweating on the feet.
