How to Avoid Deodorant Stains
No More Deodorant Stains on Your Clothes
Whether it's deodorant or antiperspirant, those stains on your shirts and blouses are a real pain and super stubborn. The best way to deal with them is to stop them from happening in the first place. The trick? Let your deodorant or antiperspirant dry completely on your skin before you put your shirt on. Give deodorant spray a few moments to dry. For antiperspirants, which work for longer, put them on at night so they have plenty of time to soak in. That's the best way to avoid those antiperspirant stains.
If you do get stains, it's important to know what kind they are. White stains on colorful or dark clothes usually come right out in a normal wash. They're just deposits from the aluminum salts or fragrances. For yellow deodorant stains on cotton clothes, try soaking the garment in a 3% citric acid solution before washing, ideally overnight.
